Tradition is alive and well at Wellington East Girls College. The celebration of success, the bringing together of community, whanau, students and teachers provides a fantastic opportunity to show case the school.
A Powhiri, a haka (or two) and in between brilliant renditions of Africa, Bathe by the River, Adiemus, Ave Maria, 25 or 6 to 4, Sous le dome epais and no doubt others was both a celebration of a years success and a formal goodbye to Year 13 students.
Everyone committed themselves brilliantly, tradition was honored and Year 13 students given a night to appreciate and remember. Fantastic.
