Never to late to learn

I had the opportunity to attend Kiwi Foo Camp 2013 http://baacamp.org/. Attending were an incredible diversity of smart, artistic and creative thinkers from all parts of NZ and even a few from other parts of the world. Humbling really. In addition to talking content and meeting new people, I learned a few new facilitation techniques for groups of 20-30 people. I particularly liked the one where participants contribute ideas and then get three votes on which were there most important. It works brilliantly in the classroom giving effect to both creative and critical thinking but also student ownership of the outcome. Example below where students were denoting and voting on most important aspects of web sites.

I suspect web site content and functionality go without saying. Great technique I will use it again.

Footnote: We don’t correct spelling when focusing on content.
