Two monitors are now a necessity for teachers

With increasing expectation and numbers of students doing work online, including assessments it is time that teachers are provided with two monitors as a matter of course. We assess work, update mark books and correspond with students/parents as a matter of routine, simultaneously. We produce and test resources simultaneously. For a few hundred dollars productivity can be enhanced by 20% in my view.

Likewise, USB 3 flash drives  should also be provided as a matter of course, especially where portable applications are required (possibly due to rigidity of schools technical infrastructures). New laptops and desktops do tend to have USB 3 ports after all. The significant speed improvements again lead to teacher productivity gains.
