The Government will freeze operational funding for schools. The consequence will be less Administrative support staff. This will result in teachers doing more administration work and less teaching (lesson preparation, feedback, coaching etc). Surely I am exaggerating? Well last week I spent some time stuffing envelopes and doing photocopying related to sending material home to parents so it does happen… Maybe not a big deal, after all how else will it get done? However, don’t let anyone kid you that it will not impact on student learning.
He who dares to teach must never cease to learn.John Cotton Dana (1856–1929)
