Maybe laptops in class is not such a good idea?

“Research shows students who used laptops in the class received poorer grades.”

Perhaps the pendulum has swung too far… I have already initiated the use of notepad and pencil for note taking as I have found student notes on Google docs ineffective.

Social media with regular notifications certainly appears to be addictive for some students, perhaps the advent of social media filtering during class times may well lead to improved student learning.
