NZ Open Source awards

Capture

I attended the NZ Open Source awards recently. These are held each two years and represent a fantastic mix of diversity (open science, open arts etc…) and quality (Andrew Barnett, Rob Elshire and the work of many others). There are so many interesting initiatives going on, lots of opportunity to discuss in the classroom.

Good to see Catalyst taking the award for open source in education category for their “open source academy” initiative. Ian Beardslee from Catalyst (shown below) has worked hard on making this initiative a success over the years. Well done.
